DVI was the natural progression of transmission from VGA. DVI uses a digital interface to transmit images. This means that DVI could be used to connect digital displays such as LCDs, which delivery a much higher picture quality.

The Ethernet cable is the cable most commonly used to set up local networks. This is the wire that connects the computer to the router, and the router to the modem. The Ethernet cable comes in three main variants.  They are Cat 5, Cat 5e (enhanced) and Cat 6, the newest and fastest cable of the 3.
