What is ultraviolet disinfection?
Ultraviolet disinfection lamps are used to kill or inactivate microorganisms by destroying nucleic acids and disrupting their DNA, leaving them unable to perform vital cellular functions.
Commonly known at Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI), this process is used in a variety of settings such as hospitals and food manufacturers. It is also an integral part of air and water purification systems.

Area size and effectiveness
The bigger the room the longer it will take to disinfect. During this time the room should be free of people, pets and live plants. Once the operator enters the disinfection time and presses START an integrated timer delay provides 60 seconds to exit the room. The user manual contains a table detailing the time it will take to disinfect rooms of different sizes, for example; A room 15m2 with a maximum distance of 5.4m to the furthest away wall will take 10 minutes to disinfect. A room 60m2 (1,000ft) with a maximum distance of 36ft to the furthest wall will take 30 minutes to disinfect.
